About

Sandy & Trish ToomerSandy & Trish Toomer have been married for 30 years and served with Mission Aviation Fellowship half of their married life (14 years) until 2008.

Sandy flew out of the historic MAF base in Shell, Ecuador. You may remember Operation Auca martyrs, Nate Saint, Jim Elliot, Roger Youderian, Pete Flemming and Ed McCully. This is where they based out of for all practical purposes.

We returned to the US in 2002 where I ministered as Southeast Recruiter until 2006. Then  beginning in 2006 I worked with another new ministry in MAF called Learning Technologies as their web developer and communications specialist.

In January of 2008 Trish and I sensed God leading us out of MAF and back into the entrepreneurial workplace.

We had begun a coffee business, Toomers Coffee Roasters, in 2004  as a secondary side business. That business now has two sides, one a retail coffee shop and the other a wholesale coffee roasting operation.

The shop has become a well known  Auburn, Alabama (Auburn University) fixture,  and the coffee roasting business is growing as we add more and more local businesses, churches and shops to the role as clients.

Oh, and we have added in a new member to the family with the purchase of an RV-8 airplane kit (reserved as N184JP or “one-eight-for-junglepilot“) which Sandy will complete [hopefully] by the summer of 2010.
